Perfect spot for breakfast. Friendly service coupled with a simple menu where the food was fantastic!  I will surely be here on a daily basis while I am visiting Ottawa!

For a diner in an industrial park, this place is pretty good. I like that it is a real sit-down restaurant, since a lot of places in industrial parks tend to be mostly for takeout.  I also like that there is plenty of free parking in the parking lot.

I got the hot chicken sandwich ($9.95).  It comes with either fries and coleslaw or a garden salad.  When I go to diners, I always struggle with the decision, do I go for fries which are usually delicious, but unhealthy, or do I go for salad which is healthier than fries, but probably not too tasty as it will likely be just iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and carrots.  Well, I am happy to report that the garden salad at Cindy's has much more than just iceberg, cabbage and carrots.  It also had red, green, orange AND yellow bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and even broccoli.  Oh and there were a few pieces of romaine lettuce too.  So it was a much better salad than I expected.  I got their made in house vinaigrette, which I felt was mostly oil and I didn't think it had much flavour, but thankfully I asked for it on the side and it arrived as requested, so I just put on a little bit and ate most of the salad dry.  Maybe I will try the made in house garlic dressing next time.

The hot chicken salad was shredded pieces of roast chicken breast between 2 slices of white sandwich bread smothered in gravy.  It was tasty.  The meat was lean and they were generous with the gravy.  The gravy wasn't overly fatty and had good flavour.

Service was very pleasant and friendly, but I did notice that they were more attentive to their regulars.  A regular had his water topped off twice, while I sat with an empty water glass for most of my meal.

Once you're done, you pay at the cash register.

There's lots of seating and the place looked clean.  Prices are very reasonable.  I can see why they have lots of regulars.

Was visiting a client in the plaza. Saw this place was packed and to be honest was kind of surprised. Looks like Cindy has a secret...

I went in to see what was cookin'. Ended up grabbing soup and a sammy for a very reasonable price. Licked the bowl clean. The turkey sandwich was homemade. Fresh bread. Ingredients clean and crisp. Farm to table vibe without the hipster pretentiousness.

This is home cookin at its finest. Great lunch spot and it looks like the secret is out - all tables were taken! Keep it up Cindy

If you're hungry and in the area - worth a drop in no doubt
